Breasts could be the most significant singular source of pride for a woman in her body, and also could be an weighty source of shame. From size to shape to tone, the nature of a woman’s breasts has the ability to raise her confidence, or being it down.
Before I go on, let me make it clear that no matter the shape and size of your breasts, there are those that will find it attractive. Large breasts may be an a marketing tool, but most successful models have small to medium sized breasts. And I’ve known men that get freaked out by large bosom but are comfortable with, and turned on by, small breasts.
With those attributes you have little control over, I’d suggest that you worry not about them, as they would not have any significant effect on your life, except you give them the power to do so. Rather, you should focus on things you have control over.
With respect to tone, some are toned and firm while some can be a bit saggy. And that is where you can exercise some control.
Human breasts are primarily composed of:
- Glandular and
- Connective tissues.
The glandular tissues are the tissues if the glands that produce milk for the feeding of the human baby. These mammary glands are arranged inside the breasts and are connected via ducts that lead to the nipple.
The mammary glands are covered by the adipose or fatty tissues. These fatty tissues according to genetics and some other minor factors determine the size of the breasts.
The connective tissues are the skin tissues and ligaments that wrap up and support the whole breast giving it its form and shape.
Factors that can cause breasts to sag are:
Big and subsequently heavy breasts, especially when frequently without the support of a bra, are susceptible to the force of gravity. Slowly but surely, the weight of the breasts causes the irreversible extension of the ligaments and weakening of the adipose structure, and the resulting breaks manifest as sag.
Age causes the weakening of cells and tissues, and breast tissues are not exempted. They weaken with age and they lose their elasticity and the slightest strain causes breaks and sag.
Body tissues are made up from nutrients in the food consumed by individuals. When an individual do not feed well, the body finds it hard to find body building materials. And when that’s the case, breast tissues are also affected. They are weak and lack healthy tone and firmness resulting in saggy breasts.
Sports and some physical activities that cause breasts to bounce a lot easily cause the stretching of the breast tissues especially when carried out without the appropriate bra.
Although many people believe that breastfeeding leads to breast sagging, it’s actually pregnancy that’s the real cause. Regardless of whether you eventually choose to breastfeed or not, your bust will have increased in size over those 9 months in preparation of doing it.
This sudden, and often dramatic, increase in breast size and weight stretches out the breast ligaments – which won’t always spring back to their pre-pregnancy length. Meaning that once your breasts are no longer plumped up with milk, they can take on a more deflated and drooping appearance.
Smoking and excess imbibing of alcohol affects the health of a body. Alcohol, drug and substance abuse cause the skin and ligaments to lose elasticity and affect the build up of the adipose tissues resulting in breasts without a healthy tone.

Note: Surgeons unanimously agree that breast feeding does not cause breasts to sag, but I personally disagree but I do not say I said so, because I do not have the capital to disagree with surgeons especially when I have not breastfed and thus have no personal experience to depend on.
